A service ticketing system or a support ticket system is a customer service tool or application that helps a company manage and resolve their support and service requests.
Under this system, a service or support request is received from the end-user, i.e., the customer, and a corresponding ticket is issued to the same for reference. The ticket is used by both the consumer and the service/support provider for a swift resolution. Once the issue has been resolved, we say that the ticket is closed.
