Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a Property AR Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks related to property operations, including cash receipts, rent roll processing, bank reconciliations, and tenant charge-backs. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deposit scanned rental checks to appropriate bank accounts and record cash receipts to tenant accounts.
  • Process monthly Pre-Authorized Debits (PAD), Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT), Direct Deposits, and handle Non-Sufficient Fund (NSF) transactions.
  • Record daily and monthly parking cash receipts to tenant accounts, reconcile with parking application, and manage NSF transactions.
  • Prepare pre-rent roll for Property Manager approval and process/post monthly rent roll.
  • Validate RentRoll AR Check Report and MaxQ for PAD, and review duplicate bank accounts.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliation tasks.
  • Process monthly Strata fees and Mortgages for both residential and commercial portfolios.
  • Issue and post tenant charge-back invoices for miscellaneous charges.
  • Assist property accountants with annual CAM (Common Area Maintenance) and Tax recoveries, as well as budgeting.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with the accounting team as needed.
  • Provide support to Reporting Manager, Director, and VP as required.

Experience Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on Accounts Receivable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Postgraduate degree in Accounting.
  • Ability to work EST hours (6 PM to 3 AM / 7 PM to 4 AM).
  • Excellent English comprehension, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
